Amogy is a well-funded technology startup on a mission to decarbonize shipping and maritime transportation using ammonia as a renewable fuel. Renewable fuel for zero emission mobility is the key to a sustainable future!
Integral to our success is a Commercial Manager, reporting to the VP Commercial. The Commercial Manager will play a significant role in representing the company externally and be responsible for origination and development of commercial relationships across the power, transportation, and maritime sectors. This position is well-suited for candidates looking to apply their experience in business development, sales, or client-facing consulting roles to shape the future of a fast-growing energy startup!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as a external interface of the company: identify and generate new business development opportunities, deliver presentations, build strong customer relationships, and form strategic partnerships leading to commercial projects and sales.
- Establish a deep understanding of target markets through research, networking, attending industry events, and forming collaborations.
- Work with engineering, research, and strategy teams to understand the technology, identify new business opportunities, and drive commercial deployments.
Requirements
Our Ideal Commercial Manager Will:
- Have 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or other client-facing role.
- Bachelor in Business or Maritime, or equal by experience.
- Have a strong track record of generating new business development prospects and converting them into commercial agreements and/or sales.
- You have demonstrated ability to convey complicated technical concepts in a comprehensible manner and to articulate a compelling vision.
- Experience from the Maritime Sector.
- Possibly experience in hydrogen, decarbonization, or low-carbon mobility applications is a plus.
- You have an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit with high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Be a Team Player.
- Traveling is required.
