Head of Project Finance - Norsk Solar

Norsk Solar is seeking an experienced Project Finance professional to support delivering C&I and merchant projects from T/S to financial close. The role can be preferably in Oslo, alternatively also Stavanger or Madrid will be considered.
The main purpose of the position
We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic and experienced professional to lead our Project Finance team across NSOL focus regions (SE Asia, Eastern Europe, Sub-saharan Africa and LATAM).
As our Head of Project Finance, you will be responsible to drive the projects financing from initial contact to lenders, negotiation of term sheets, supporting the due diligence project, oversight of the financial model and lastly conclude the financing and security agreements negotiations with relevant stakeholders.
You will report directly to the EVP Business Development and Project Finance, in close collaboration with the Company’s other key functions.
Key Activities
- Lead deal structuring and commercial negotiations with financiers to secure favourable financing terms for our projects (from Term Sheet to final Project Finance documents).
- Properly assess the commercial & contractual terms of each opportunity ensuring its economic viability.
- Oversight of NSOL financial models across projects.
- Manage the Lender’s due diligence process to assure swift progress to financial close.
- Perform market/sector analyses to assure NSOL operates in its focus markets with the most competitive financing structure.
Qualifications
- Proven successful project finance track record within the infrastructure sector.
- Strong network across regions with commercial and development finance institutions.
- Outstanding commercial and negotiation skills
- Result-oriented, hands-on approach and ability to manage multiple workflows.
- You are fluent in English, written, and spoken. Proficiency in other regional languages such as Portuguese is preferred.
